Daily Visuals: Nakatomi Plaza Has Never Looked So Majestic

@rushmore23

Ayyyy, gents! Welcome back! Yesterday we launched the very first every edition of BroBible‘s Daily Visuals, our new column to show off the visually stunning work created by the BroBible community.

As I said yesterday: We really want BroBible to be a digital destination that inspire wanderlust and adventure, so I can’t think of a better way to promote that ethos than by featuring the people capturing the world behind a camera. If you’d like to be featured in our daily showcase, please drop me an e-mail: brandon@brobible.com or DM BroBible on Instagram. Twitter is cool too.

Next up is Michael, a.k.a @rushmore23 on Instagram. He sent in this BADASS picture of Nakatomi Plaza from Die Hard looking as majestic as a bald eagle soaring over amber waves of grain. It instantly skyrocketed to the top of the list: Just like pics of the Philadelphia skyline from the Art Museum steps a la Rocky, references to to Die Hard – the #1 Christmas movie of all time – are an easy way to capture my attention.

About Michael, in his own words:

My name is Michael, and my life changed forever in June. I could write a book about this, but I’ll try to keep this short. For years, I had been battling through a lot of difficult times. I had let my dreams go by the wayside. I decided it was time to crawl out of rock bottom, and to go find ME again.

I promised myself I would travel and LIVE this year. My boss approved a month long leave of absence from work for me. I always dreamed of traveling. Hell, being from St. Louis, MO; the farthest out West I’d ever been, was Kansas City. This was really happening. I bought a camera, said goodbye to family and friends, and hit the road, on my own. In one month, I drove over 7,000 miles, through 15 states. I seen, captured, and experienced countless places I had never thought I’d ever see. Most importantly, I had found ME again. I’ve never been more proud of myself. June was the best month of my life (for now). It changed me forever. I fell in love with photography and film again. This country is beautiful. This world is beautiful.

Hell, life is just fucking beautiful.

States I visited on the trip:

Oklahoma
Texas
New Mexico
Arizona
Nevada
California
Oregon
Washington
Idaho
Montana
Wyoming
Utah
Colorado
Kansas

Just SOME of the Iconic places I visited for the first time ever: Mount Sandia, Meteor Crater, Grand Canyon, Hoover Damn, Vegas, San Diego, Orange County, LA, Fox Plaza (Nakatomi Plaza from Die Hard), San Francisco, Yosemite, Redwood National Forest, Cypress Tunnel, Haystack Rock, Crater Lake, Mount Rainier National Park, Seattle, Yellowstone, The Arches National Park, Red Rock Amphitheater, Denver, Rocky Mountain National Park, and countless beaches, forests, mountains, etc.
