There has been a wild new development in the case against Sean Combs, AKA Diddy. Now, the rapper’s legal team claims that the infamous and hedonistic “freak off” party videos prove that their client is innocent.
In a motion filed in New York federal court Tuesday, Diddy’s lawyers now claim that “having reviewed these videos, it is now abundantly clear that they confirm Mr. Combs’ innocence and that their full exculpatory value cannot be investigated and used unless they are electronically produced.”
Page Six reports the in the filing, Diddy’s attorneys also claim that the “nine videos at issue” show one of Diddy’s alleged victims engaged in “private sexual activity between fully consenting adults in a long-term relationship.” Not only that, Diddy’s lawyers claim in the filing that the alleged victim “not only consented but thoroughly enjoyed herself” and was “happy, dominant and completely in control.”
In addition to those claims, Diddy’s lawyers claim the “freak off” party videos “directly refute the allegations that Mr. Combs kept these videos as ‘collateral’ because, they say, they were “not on Mr. Combs’ devices” nor seized from one of his homes.
On top of that, Diddy’s legal team states that the alleged victim was a “a willing participant in her private sex life with Mr. Combs” and “kept these videos on her own device for years and produced them to the government herself.”
This alleged victim the lawyers are referring to is, according to TMZ, Cassie Ventura, who has made numerous disturbing allegations against Combs and even sued him and then settled just one day after filing the lawsuit. She was also clearly seen being beaten by Diddy in video taken in the hallway of a Los Angeles hotel.
Diddy’s lawyers even go so far in their court filing as to claim the rapper being prosecuted over the videos is “sexist” and “reflects a paternalistic view that the government is here to protect women who cannot be trusted to make their own decisions about sex and are not capable of consenting to sex that the prosecutors view as outside the ‘norm.'”
Should it turn out that these “nine videos at issue” do show a consensual relationship, that is just one out of literally dozens of alleged victims who have made claims to the otherwise about Sean “Diddy” Combs since he was arrested.
