The beef between rappers Drake and Kendrick Lamar is now reaching dangerous levels, as reports of a shooting outside Drake’s home have been followed by news that the store for his OVO brand in London has been vandalized.

On the window of the OVO store window is graffiti that says “They not like us,” which is a lyric from Lamar’s diss track aimed at Drake titled “Not Like Us.”

“Not Like Us” was the fourth diss track about Drake that Kendrick Lamar released, dropping it on Saturday, May 4. The song alleges that Drake “likes them [women] young,” which prompted Drake to respond to and deny those accusations in his song “The Heart Part 6.”

“Say, Drake, I hear you like ’em young You better not ever go to cell block one To any bitch that talk to him and they in love Just make sure you hide your lil’ sister from him,” Lamar raps on the track.

“Only f—– with Whitneys, not Millie Bobby Browns, I’d never look twice at no teenager,” Drake responded on “The Heart Part 6.”

The OVO Store in London is located in the SOHO neighborhood of the city on Poland St, according to the brand’s official website.

OVO, which stands for October’s Very Own, was launched in 2011 and began as a series of collaborations with the Canadian brand Roots Canada.

The first OVO flagship store opened in Toronto in 2014 before expanding to Los Angeles one year later. A store in New York would open in 2016, followed by a store in Chicago (which has since been closed) in 2019.

As of 2024, OVO has 7 stores in Canada, 3 in the United States (L.A., NYC, Las Vegas), and 1 in London.

On Tuesday, May 7, there was also a shooting at Drake’s home in Toronto, with unconfirmed reports indicating that the shooting was a “drive-by” and that a security guard was rushed to a local hospital for surgery on a gunshot wound to his chest.
