It hurts to see someone else live out your dreams. I can’t be too salty though because I didn’t realize this was my dream job until I saw the listing circulating on the Internet. This definitely isn’t something my H.S. guidance counselor told me about because if they did I probably wouldn’t be publishing this article today.
The gist of the job is this: someone’s going to get paid to road trip around America for the first two weeks of August to find the best barbecue ribs in the country. I’d do that for free. Just cover my expenses and I’d do that right now. In fact, I’d probably pay good money to do that as a vacation. But this person will make bank.
The Reynolds Kitchen 2019 Chief Grilling Officer will get paid $10,000 ($5,000/week) to find the best ribs in America. All they’ll need to do is share their experience and the best BBQ/grilling tips they acquire along the way.
Here’s the full description of the job:
As CGO, you won’t need a comfy corner office because for two weeks in August, you’ll be busy tasting and savoring BBQ ribs from some of the top BBQ rib cities in the country. Along the way, you’ll share tips, grilling techniques and photos on the Reynolds Kitchens® website and social channels, so grilling enthusiasts at home can make drool-worthy BBQ ribs on their own. You’ll also receive a $10,000 stipend along with pre-paid travel and lodging for you and a (very lucky) guest!
If you don’t mind being paid to taste test some of the most delicious BBQ ribs across the country, posting envy-inducing pictures of your food and falling asleep every night dreaming about your next rack of ribs, then you could have what it takes to be the next Reynolds Wrap® Chief Grilling Officer.
Applications for this job are pretty simple. You send a picture of yourself and a 100-word essay to careers@ReynoldsWrapCGO.com about why you think you are the best person for the job.
The application deadline is midnight tonight (Wednesday the 19th, midnight CT) but methinks you can probably still send in an application an hour or two late and they won’t mind.
