Dua Lipa has lit up Instagram once again, this time by showing off in a short skirt that fails desperately at its job of providing the pop star any meaningful cover.
In the post, the 27-year-old Barbie star tried to bring attention to the shoes she was wearing by captioning the photo “the higher the heel the closer to god,” which is a spin on the famous Dolly Parton quote “the higher the hair the closer to god.”

2023 has been a busy year for Dua, which featured her starring alongside the likes of Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Will Ferrell, Issa Rae, Simu Liu, America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Emma Mackey, Kingley Ben-Air, Rhea Perlman, John Cena, Michael Cera, Helen Mirren, and more in Barbie.
In the billion-plus-dollar grossing film, which has gone on to become the highest-earning movie of the year, Lipa played Mermaid Barbie. Lipa also contributed to the film’s soundtrack with the song “Dance the Night”, which was not only featured in one of the film’s musical numbers but was also the lead single of the official soundtrack.
Clearly trying to expand her career into acting, Lipa also has a role in Matthew Vaughn’s (Kingsman: The Secret Service) new project Argylle, which also features the likes of Henry Cavill, Sam Rockwell, Bryce Dallas Howard, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, Samuel L. Jackson, John Cena, Ariana DeBose, and Rob Delaney. At this time, Argylle is set to release in movie theaters in February 2024.’
