Seth Meyers had perhaps the best day of work that anyone could imagine, as the Late Night host recently went out day drinking with pop star Dua Lipa.
While Lipa was on Late Night with Seth Meyers to promote the release of her new single “Houdini” — the first single off of her forthcoming third studio album — the 28-year-old also made headlines this week for scoring a Golden Globe nomination for her work on “Dance the Night”, which was featured in Barbie.
Given that this Day Drinking episode was likely filmed before Monday, however, her nomination isn’t mentioned. As for the “F your mother” part, that happens at the 12:40 mark:
Meyers and his writing team put together magic-themed games and drinks (because of “Houdini” — get it?), which resulted in the pair having to down some nasty concotions, such as a tequila with Red Bull, Campari, and pumpkin spice latte.
Lipa certainly impressed with her drinking abilities, particularly during the game where she wound up having to rip shots of different kinds of clear alcohol consecutively.
As for Lipa’s third album, neither its title nor its release date has been announced yet. Lipa will, however, soon be seen on the big screen again, as she has what appears to be a prominent role in Matthew Vaughn’s (Kingsman, X-Men: First Class) upcoming action comedy Argylle, which will be hitting movie theaters on February 2, 2024.
In addition to Lipa, Argylle boasts a star-studded cast that features the likes of Henry Cavill, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Rockwell, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, Ariana DeBose, John Cena, and Samuel L. Jackson. Here is the official synopsis for the film:
