Dua Lipa has been everywhere and anywhere this summer, with her latest stop, as evidenced by her ever-growing Instagram account, being in Ibiza.

As she does with virtually every trip she makes, Lipa posted some oceanfront photos — which featured her in a tiny blue dress that barely gets its job done — to keep her fans in the loop.

The 28-year-old British pop star has had herself quite a busy year, as she’s not only been working on her newest studio album — her first since 2020’s Grammy Award-winning Future Nostalgia, but she also had a role in Greta Gerwig’s Barbie as Mermaid Barbie, which marked her feature film debut.

Lipa also recorded the lead single for the Barbie soundtrack, “Dance the Night”, which was the song used for the Margot Robbie-led musical number at the start of the film.

“The first thing I saw from the Barbie movie when Mark Ronson asked me to write the song for the big dance scene in the film was the cast dance rehearsals,” Lipa said of making “Dance the Night”.

“We then set off with the plan to write a song based on Barbie’s inner thoughts in that very moment on the basis of what was to come next in her story and on the premise of the whole film. Fast forward to seeing the song we wrote together come to life on the big screen was a very surreal moment for me. The song no longer felt like it belonged to me but belonged to Barbie and her perfect/imperfect self.”

In addition to the above slideshow, Lipa also recently shared a collection of more candid photos.

Barbie might have been Lipa’s first acting role but it won’t be her last, as the Grammy-winning singer is also set to have a role in Argylle, the latest film from Kingsman director Matthew Vaughn.

Alongside Lipa, Argylle also stars Henry Cavill, Sam Rockwell, Bryce Dallas Howard, John Cena, Ariana DeBose, Rob Delaney, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, and Samuel L. Jackson. The film is scheduled to hit movie theaters in the United States on February 2 before streaming on AppleTV+ at a later date.
