Elon Musk Thirstily Begs Taylor Swift To Post Her Content On ‘X’, Pop Star Ignores Him

Nothing screams “business is going great” quite like begging people to use your product, which is exactly what Elon Musk has been getting clowned on for in recent days.

Earlier this week, Musk replied to one of Taylor Swift’s tweets saying that he “recommends posting music or videos directly on the X platform.”

Needless to say, it didn’t take long for people to start ripping on Musk with a variety of jokes, with most focused on how broke Twitter must be right now.

Musk pulled the same desperate stunt with Bill Maher last week when the scab comedian announced he was bringing his show back on the air despite the ongoing writers’ strike (Maher later reversed his decision), as he replied to one of the 67-year-old’s tweets saying “Maybe worth posting some material on this platform. The reach is enormous.”

After already overpaying Twitter to the tune of $44 billion and being sued to follow through with the purchase of the social media service, industry analysts estimate that anywhere from $4 to $20 billion in valuation has been wiped out by renaming the platform X. This also doesn’t account for the mass exodus of advertisers that the platform has experienced.

It’s certainly interesting to imagine what Musk thought Swift’s response might be (thus far, she’s completely ignored him), as her Eras Tour is already on track to become the highest-grossing tour of all time. According to reports, the tour — which kicked off in March — has made over $2 billion in ticket sales in North America alone.

In November, Swift will kick off the Laitn America leg of the tour before heading to the likes of Japan, Australia, Singapore, France, Sweden, Portugal, Spain, Scotland, England, Wales, Ireland, Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Poland, Austria, and then back to the United States and Canada again in 2024.

Or, as per Musk’s suggestion, she could just post her concerts on “X” for free.
