Elon Musk apparently decided to buy the social media app formerly known as Twitter for $44 billion because he was afraid of the “woke mind virus,” which he believes has had an influence on his transgender daughter.

The source of this information is as iron-clad as it gets, as it came from Musk himself in his upcoming self-titled biography. An excerpt from Elon Musk revealing this information has been published by the Wall Street Journal.

Musk completed his purchase in the Fall of 2022 and has since changed the name of the platform to X, which is something he also attempted to do when he was with PayPal 20ish years ago.

When Musk found out [about his child’s transition], he was generally sanguine, but then Jenna became a fervent Marxist and broke off all relations with him. ‘She went beyond socialism to being a full communist and thinking that anyone rich is evil,’ he says.

Musk’s anti-woke sentiments were partly triggered by the decision of his oldest child, Xavier, then 16, to transition. Twitter, he felt, had become infected by a similar mindset that suppressed right-wing and anti-establishment voices.

Musk’s 19-year-old daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson, who has severed ties with the 52-year-old billionaire, is one of his 10 children, one of which is named X Æ A-12.

According to industry analysts, since taking over Twitter and renaming it X, about $5-$20 billion of the company’s valuation has been wiped out.

Written by Walter Isaacson, Elon Musk’s biography will be released on Tuesday, September 12. Isaacson has also previously written biographies about Henry Kissinger, Benjamin Franklin, Albert Einstein, Steve Jobs, and more.

In addition to his recent acquisition of Twitter, Musk has also recently taken up mixed martial arts (or so he claims) and has been trying to organize a fight against Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg. Zuckerberg, however, has claimed that Musk is not serious about making the bout happen.
