Uber vs. Elon Musk…Who ya got? On the one hand, Uber already has millions and millions of customers and drivers all across the globe. But, Uber lost a whopping $4.5 BILLION in 2017. On the other side, you’ve got Elon Musk, Uber, and The Boring Compan. Musk is building out his Hyperloop which is poised to be an incredibly fast and energy-efficient mode of public transportation which will be located underground.

Uber has a new CEO, Dara Khosrowshahi, and after announcing that the future of Uber is ‘flying taxis’ he took a shot at Elon Musk’s Hyperloop….Are you finally up to speed? Obviously, Elon Musk didn’t take kindly to a competitor trashing his Hyperloop project so Elon took to Twitter and absolutely laid waste to Uber’s ‘flying taxis’ with a single tweet. Squashing any romantic notion that anyone might have regarding flying Ubers. Here’s how it all played out on Twitter:

The Uber CEO just responded a few hours ago during his trip to India:

Elon Musk’s vacuum-sealed Hyperloop would transfer cargo pods underground at speeds up to 700 MPH. Some tunnels would also be designed to transport existing cars but move them at incredibly fast speeds. Conversely, Uber wants to have cars flying over our houses. We don’t even like seeing drones at the beach, or at concerts. What the hell makes Uber think we want cars flying overhead all the time? I’m with Elon Musk on this 100%.
