Jack Sweeney, the 19-year-old Florida college student who created and operated @ElonJet, a Twitter account that tracked Musk’s private jet flights, has blasted the new Twitter CEO for being a “full-on hypocrite” for suspending the account.
Back in early November, Musk — who officially took control of Twitter back in late October — previously claimed in a tweet (that he hasn’t deleted as of yet) that his “commitment to free speech extends even to not banning the account following my plane, even though that is a direct personal safety risk.”

In a recent interview with The New York Post, Sweeney said Musk is “really asking for it” by reversing course on his decision.
“This is insane. My phone’s going f–king nuts… He really is asking for it because it’s just going to get worse in the news. He’s going to be called a full-on hypocrite,” Sweeney told The New York Post. “
When asked if he also thinks Musk is a “full-on hypocrite,” Sweeney replied: “Yeah, it would seem so.”
Following his acquistion of Twitter, Musk has made bold changes to the platform such an ingeniously introducing multiple versions of checkmarks, as “Official” tags and golden checks have been rolled out in recent days to go alongside the previous existing blue checkmark.
Since Musk’s takeover, data has also shown an increase in hate speech on the app, as the Center for Countering Digital Hate said “the daily use of the n-word under Musk is triple the 2022 average and the use of slurs against gay men and trans persons are up 58% and 62%, respectively,” according to a recent report from CNN.
Reports from earlier this week also indicate that the company has recently stopped paying rent on some of its leases and hasn’t paid numerous other vendors since Musk’s $44 billion acquisition.
