Elon Musk Gets Viscously Booed Off Stage At A Dave Chappelle Show (VIDEO)

As a Christmas present, my lovely sister bought me a subscription to Masterclass. Given that I want to one day be a screenwriter, I began with the class taught by Aaron Sorkin, writer of films such as A Few Good Men, The Social Network, Moneyball, Steve Jobs, and more.

During his course — which has been filled with fascinating tidbits (this isn’t even an ad for Masterclass, I’ve just really been enjoying it) — he talks about intention being at the heart of a character. For example, Mark Zuckerberg’s core intention in The Social Network isn’t to create the biggest website ever made — it’s to be accepted.

And, man, if that isn’t the perfect description of what we’re seeing unfold with Elon Musk and Twitter, I’m not sure what is, as the richest man on Earth has seemingly spent $44 billion on a social media website just to further ingratiate himself with a certain sect of the population. I’d explain which section of the population that is but luckily Musk’s tweets do that for me. In fact, that’s *why* he’s always tweeting — it isn’t to make a point, it’s to make a certain portion of the class laugh, just like a class clown would.

What he doesn’t understand about being “cool” or “accepted”, though, is that you’ve ever got it or you don’t. It’s not something that can be bought or negotiated, bartered, or fabricated. And Musk is learning that the hard way, both through the absurdly behemoth price he paid for Twitter and the way in which he was booed off stage at a Dave Chappelle show over the weekend.

“It sounds like some of the people you fired are in the audience,” Chappelle joked.

Musk, somewhat predictably, has since taken to Twitter to address, quantify, and politicize the boos, which screams of a guy yelling “I’m not mad! Don’t think I’m mad!”
