With the college football season kicking off this weekend, let’s take a minute to honor the sports fans out there who survived the dog days of summer. It was a hard-fought road, especially after the highs of the NBA Finals and World Cup. I’m usually unfazed, but it’s been a frustrating summer to be a Yankees fan (and yet we still have a somewhat clear path to make it back to the World Series). I’m just about ready for some new blood in the sports schedule. Apologies to the sneakerheads who know more about this than I do, but I feel like the Air Jordan 3 doesn’t get nearly as much love as some of the other classics in the lineup. The original will always be the original, the 11s were Jordan’s favorites, and the 4s are so popular that you can just say “4s” and everyone knows what you’re talking about.
But the 3s, though. This is a special pair of kicks. They were, after all, the first pair that featured the Jumpman logo. It’s an unforgettable design that embodies everything that we know and love about Jordans.
