This Man Just Filmed The End Of A Rainbow. And What He Saw Was Terrifying

Still, many wonder what actually happens at the end of a rainbow. Specifically, some question whether one would find anything interesting if they chased the rainbow to its end.

Now, a woman says that someone did just that—and found something extraordinary. But is it real?

What Happened With This Rainbow?

In a video with over 282,000 views, TikTok user @lenkefi.horror shares what she says is the story of a man who followed a rainbow.

To do this, she overlays herself on another video, which shows a man pursuing a rainbow. The original video could not be located.

“He pulled over and ran toward it, trying to see where it touched the ground,” she says of the man’s pursuit. “But when he got closer … the color had completely disappeared.”

According to the TikToker, the man only realized upon looking up that he had not reached the end of a rainbow. Instead, the rainbow was now an entire circle, fully encompassing the sun. In the video, the man smiles.

“He pulled out his phone to record, but what he captured didn’t make sense,” the TikToker says of his experience.

What’s At The End Of A Rainbow?

As the original video is not linked, nor can it be found, BroBible cannot confirm @lenkefi.horror’s telling of the man’s experience.

That said, a few things can be stated for certain. To start, there is no “end of the rainbow.” A “rainbow” as we know it is simply a colorful arc caused by the sun hitting water droplets. As this is an optical phenomenon, it is dependent on your placement in relation to it.

In summary, this means that you’ll never be able to reach the end of the rainbow, as it will always appear to be moving away from you.

What Are Circle Rainbows?

The circular rainbow shown in the video is a relatively common phenomenon. Usually, these are called “halos,” and can appear around the sun or moon. Like rainbows, halos are caused by sunlight hitting water or ice droplets suspended in the air.

Even though these aren’t particularly uncommon, they are still incredibly special to see in person. That’s why the internet is filled with videos of people finding these “circle rainbows” and, rightfully, being amazed by them.

There are some guides to try to maximize your chances of seeing a sun halo. However, most of the time, your exposure to a sun halo is just luck—and it certainly doesn’t involve trying to reach the end of a rainbow.
