The First ‘Black Panther’ Clip Is Action-Packed, Plus Wakanda Is Revealed In A Cool New Featurette

First Black Panther Clip Wakanda Featurette

Marvel

Advance ticket sales for Marvel’s next big superhero film Black Panther already beat Captain America: Civil War as Fandango’s highest ticket presale movie ever for a Marvel film in the first 24 hours. And that movie opened with a stellar $179 million haul during its first weekend.

So to say that people are excited to see Chadwick Boseman take on the role of T’Challa, AKA Black Panther, would be a bit of an understatement.

Heck, even Lupita Nyong’o, who plays Nakia, an operative in the all-female special forces of Wakanda, tried to buy tickets back on January 10th and they already were sold out.

It’s easy to see why the demand is so high for the movie. Anyone who has watched the incredible trailers Marvel put together for the movie knows the flick looks like its going to be an epic.

After the events of Captain America: Civil War, King T’Challa returns home to Wakanda. But when two enemies conspire to bring down the kingdom, T’Challa must team up, as the Black Panther, with CIA agent Everett K. Ross and members of the Dora Milaje — Wakanda’s special forces — to prevent a world war.

Now, with Black Panther’s release date inching closer and closer, Marvel has released the first full clip from the movie, which Boseman shared with The Ellen Show on Monday.

Marvel also dropped a brand new featurette on Monday that reveals a little bit of what goes on in Black Panther’s very advanced nation of Wakanda.

The film is directed by Ryan Coogler and stars Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker and Andy Serkis.

Black Panther is set for release on February 16, 2018. Can’t wait.
