The First Official Poster For ‘Aquaman’ Has Been Released And People Are Murdering It

Warner Bros.

Aquaman should already have a complex considering most avid comic book readers view him pejoratively. But, with Jason Momoa signing on to play Aquaman and James Wan (Saw, The Conjuring) set to direct the film that hits theaters in December, maybe some will start to carve out a legitimate place for Aquaman.

But, the first poster released from the movie certainly isn’t helping.

The poster features Jason Momoa perched on a rock in the ocean with a plethora of sea animals swimming around him, accompanied by the tagline reads: “Home is calling.”

Many people on Twitter are quick to point out that the poster looks like it was plucked from Finding Nemo. Some noticed that the shark used in the poster is a stock image shark. Others ripped the tagline.

Granted, someone rightfully defended Aquaman by pointing out one of the worst movie posters in recent memory.
