So when Floyd left Miami’s Art Basel (headed to LA) after spending a literal fortune on art, $3.1 million at the SCOPE Art Show and $1.7 million on 4 Andy Warhol pieces, Mayweather needed something to drive around Los Angeles in.
When you’re spending $4.8 million on art in less than 24 hours, $330,000 on a car to drive around town must feel like a nothing. So he hit up Dr. Bugatti and said he needed a new car and Obi Okeke delivered the goods: a 2022 Porsche 911 Turbo S that’s been dubbed the ‘Ferrari Killer.’

Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s 2022 Porsche 911 Turbo S has a top track speed of around 205 MPH and accelerates from 0-to-60 MPH in just 2.6 seconds. The all-wheel-drive Turbo S has a 640 horsepower engine that runs the quarter mile in 9.9 seconds at a top seed of 138 MPH.

It is odd that Floyd Mayweather Jr. doesn’t have an arsenal of supercars waiting for him in Los Angeles, isn’t it? I’d think that a man with as much money as ‘Money’ Mayweather would have a garage in LA full of Koenigsegg’s, Ferraris, Bugattis, and more.
And if Floyd doesn’t have a garage in Los Angeles full of his luxury vehicles, doesn’t he have some employees (agents?) who live there that could hook him up? I’m sure he does. That’s what makes this one of the most Floyd Mayweather moves of all time. He didn’t need the car. He wanted it. So he went and got it.
