In case you missed it, Justin Bieber canceled the last 14 dates of his Purpose world tour a few weeks ago. Some reported that it was because he was going to start a church. Seriously. Needless to say, many, MANY of his fans were very pissed off about this development.
After leaving his fans hanging for weeks as to exactly why he canceled his remaining concert dates Bieber finally put out a (grammatically horrible) statement on Instagram Tuesday night explaining himself. Sort of.
It read, in part…
“I let my broken relationships dictate the way I acted toward people and the way I treated them! I let bitterness, jealously and fear run my life.!!!! I am extremely blessed to have people in the past few years help me build my character back up reminding me of who I am and who I want to be!!! Reminding me my past decisions and past relationships don’t dictate my future decisions and relationships. Im VERY aware I’m never gonna be perfect, and I’m gonna keep making mistakes but what I’m not gonna do is let my past dictate my future.. What I’m not gonna do is be ashamed of my mistakes. I wanna be a man that learns from them and grows from them.!!”
Ummm, okay, so this affects you being able to sing on stage how? Sorry. I interrupted. He wasn’t done.
“Me taking this time right now is me saying I want to be SUSTAINABLE.. I want my career to be sustainable, but I also want my mind heart and soul to be sustainable, be the man I want to be, the husband I eventually want to be and the father I want to be. This message is just an opportunity for you to know my heart, I’m not expecting anyone to understand, but I do want people to have na opportunity to know where I am coming from!”
Sooo, Bieber wants to be sustainable. No idea what that means.
He closed his long rant by saying, “THIS MESSAGE IS IS VERY GRAMMATICALLY INCORRECT BUT ITS FROM THE HEART. BUT I THINK THERES SOMETHING SPECIAL ABOUT IMPERFECTIONS!!”
Well, all righty then.
You know who isn’t buying any of what Justin Bieber is selling? Rock icon Gene Simmons.
Speaking to TMZ on Wednesday, Simmons was asked about Bieber and his cancelling of the rest of his tour. Simmons didn’t mince any words with his response.
“Get a life. You don’t have to worry about anything. You’re rich. In case you didn’t notice, you’re white. You’ve got white privilege, bitch. There’s nothing to complain about.”
Simmons then explained what he thinks is really going on with Bieber.
“He’s got the Beverly Hills blues. It goes like this… My limo is late … and I just can’t wait. My mansion is… c’mon.”
Awesome. That’s almost as good as the time another rock legend, Keith Richards, said to Bieber, “Who the fuck are you?” Almost.
Here, I think Big Cass from the WWE can provide rough translation of what Simmons is saying about Bieber…
