The Girl Who Played Baby Emma On ‘Friends’ Waited 17 Years To Drop A Top-Notch Joke About The Year 2020

The Girl Who Played Baby Emma On Friends Made A 2020 Joke

NBC

Way back in 2003, during season 10, episode 4 of Friends, Ross asks the Monica and Chandler to film a message for his and Rachel’s daughter Emma Geller-Greene, for her to watch in the future when she turns 18.

“Hi, Emma. It’s the year 2020. Are you still enjoying your nap?” says Chandler.

“We’re Aunt Monica and Uncle Chandler, by the way – you may not recognize us because we haven’t spoken to your parents in 17 years,” adds Monica.

They were supposed to be going on vacation, but instead had to stick around for Emma’s first birthday, so they weren’t thrilled.

“We used to be married, but then we missed a weekend away together and things kind of unravelled,” Chandler continued. “Because of you!”

Welp, it’s now 2020 (much to the dismay of Friends fans across America) and one of the actresses who played baby Emma, Noelle Sheldon, wasted no time in finally answering Chandler’s question.

“Just woke up from the best nap of all time, happy 2020!!” wrote Sheldon, “Hope everyone has an excellent year full of family, friends, and laughter!!”

“Finally,” commented her twin sister Cali, who also played baby Emma on the show.

If Noelle and Cali look familiar, that’s probably because they most recently played the twins in the popular Jordan Peele film Us in 2019.

That’s right. Baby Emma from Friends got murdered in a horror movie last year and you probably didn’t even realize it.
