No matter how powerful your swing is, the No. 1 rule of golf is simple: Never lose your golf balls. And one netizen is going to extreme lengths to avoid that happening to him—or, at least, to hold himself accountable.

This is because, oftentimes, you’re pretty much guaranteed to find other people’s golf balls on the course (along with alligators, apparently). But by following this simple rule, this golfer is upping the stakes.

The viral TikTok, which has garnered 354,100 views, is a repost by the TikTok user Harry (@hwl_golf). The TikTok consists of a Snapchat post. In the post, somebody is holding a golf ball, which has the name “Joseph Nelson” written on it in black marker alongside what looks like his banking details and social security number. It should be noted that, in turn, Harry isn’t the person who made this Snapchat.

Accompanying the image is text that says, “Been losing too many balls lately. To hold myself accountable, I’m putting my social security and credit card number on my ball for a little extra motivation.”

What Did Commenters Think?

“You really didn’t block out a lot of those numbers,” one pointed out.

“Funny, but if this ain’t fake you should definitely take this down lol,” a second advised.

“Has anyone bought something yet?” a third asked.

While a fourth quipped, “That’s all I needed, thanks for the $18k bro.”

Similarly, a fifth joked, “Thanks for the new ride on lawnmower dawg.”

What Did The Poster Of This TikTok Have To Say?

In an email interview with BroBible, Harry, who posted the repost, explained that he gets sent golf content from various sources. “I get a bunch of content sent to me and I pick out which ones I like and think will go well in the TikTok algorithm,” he explained.

In turn, in terms of the response to this video, Harry says that the reaction has “been a bit wild.”

“I’ve had messages about people thinking it’s my actual ss number and all that, and I’ve had some people like my content it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster,” he said.

“But I enjoy posting daily on TikTok I just want to be able to post daily and keep the people that follow me entertained and engaged. I feel like my TikTok account has been growing quite a bit recently but I want to hit 10k by end of the year.”

Man Steals Woman’s Bucket Of Golf Balls

On the subject of golf balls, one woman went viral after a baffling encounter on a golf course. Namely, a man tried to steal her ball bucket.

The clip consists of a man sauntering over and picking up the ball bucket. On-screen text reads, “When a random man just decides your bucket of balls is his.”

In the footage, as he picks up the bucket, TikTok user Kaylyn (@kaylyn_noh) said, “Oh, those are mine.”

“These are whose?” the man asks.

“Mine, sorry,” she affirms.

He then responds by saying, “Yours? OK,” before walking off.

Additional on-screen text says, “Literally who else would it belong to?”

Viewers were shocked by the man’s actions, pointing out this is a huge golf no-no.

“I been at a range a 1000 times and never seen anything like this,” one viewer said. “Why would you walk up and grab someone’s bucket?”
