The official trailer for the Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon, which will be hitting HBO in June, has been released.

House of the Dragon premiered on HBO in 2022 and stars Olivia Cooke, Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, Milly Alcock, Rhys Ifans, Steve Toussaint, and more.

HBO has gotten quite creative with the marketing for House of the Dragon, as they’ve just released two official trailers: a “Black Trailer”, which is from the perspective of the Targaryens, and a “Green Trailer”, which is from the perspective of the Hightowers.

Check out the official “Black Trailer” for season two of House of the Dragon below.

And now the “Green Trailer”:

The first season of House of the Dragon helped make a star out of 23-year-old Australian actress Milly Alcock, who was recently cast to star as Kara Zor-El / Supergirl in the DC film Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.

According to reports, season two of House of the Dragon will feature five new dragons, bringing the total in the series to 15.

House of the Dragon is based on George R.R. Martin’s “history” book, Fire & Blood, which details the rise and fall of House Targaryen. Game of Thrones, which ran from 2011 to 2019, is based on Martin’s acclaimed A Song of Ice and Fire series.

The series is just the first of many Game of Thrones spin-offs that HBO has in the works. Most recently, it was announced that they would be developing A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight, which takes place about 100 years before the events of Game of Thrones and tells the story of Ser Duncan the Tall and his squire, Egg

Season two of House of the Dragon premieres on HBO and Max on Sunday, June 16. You can check out the teaser trailer that was released earlier this year below.
