IMDb Most Viewed Stars 2017 List

Unlike many lists of this sort that rank the many actors and actresses of Hollywood, IMDb uses actual numbers to back up their list of the most popular stars of 2017. After all, numbers don’t lie, right? We’ll see.

Here’s how we arrived at our list: We looked at the 10 stars who consistently ranked the highest on the IMDbPro’s weekly STARmeter chart throughout 2017. STARmeter rankings are based on the actual pageviews of IMDb’s more than 250 million unique monthly visitors.

Fair enough. We’re a democratic nation the last time I checked, so if the people have really viewed these stars the most in 2017, then who are we to argue with their rankings?

Here are the top 10 most viewed stars of 2017 on IMDb

10. Katherine Langford

Not terribly surprising given the popularity of the new Netflix show 13 Reasons Why.

9. Sofia Boutella

Obviously, between The Mummy and Atomic Blonde many people wanted to know more about this rising star.

8. Dan Stevens

Between Legion and Beauty and the Beast, no wonder he made the list.

7. Ana de Armas

Her role in Blade Runner 2049 certainly piqued a lot of movie-goers interest.

6. Pom Klementieff

Her name may not sound familiar but the name of her character? Mantis, anyone?

5. Bill Skarsgård

One word: IT.

4. Alexandra Daddario

Daddario made IMDb’s Top 10 Stars list for the second year in a row thanks to Baywatch and The Layover. Mostly for Baywatch.

3. Emilia Clarke

She’s still the Mother of Dragons.

2. Tom Hardy

Dunkirk, Venom, and apparently just being Tom Hardy was enough.

1. Gal Gadot

Duh. She’s Wonder Woman.

IMDb also released its list of 2017’s top “breakout” stars.

Half of the people on the list above also made that list. Guess which five before you watch.
