This ‘Infinity War’ Theory Is A Pretty Solid Take On How Loki Could Have Faked His Death

Infinity War Theory Loki Faked Death

Marvel

One of the best things about our favorite movies and TV shows are the many fan theories that crop up in between films and seasons.

And outside of Game of Thrones, the franchise fans’ like to speculate to most about is the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Which is pretty understandable considering they’ve put together 20 interconnected films over just the last 10 years.

Now, as everyone who saw Avengers: Infinity War knows, there were a whole lot of questions left unanswered at the movie’s conclusion.

Another thing everyone who saw the film knows is that a bunch of Marvel characters ended up dead thanks to Thanos. And one of the first to go in Infinity War was one of our favorite villains Loki, who got choked out by the mad Titan after a rather lame attempt to assassinate the big bad – especially after seeing the beating Thanos laid down on the Hulk.

However! There is hope that the God of Mischief pulled a fast one on us, as he has been known to do in the past.

While most of the rest of us just assumed that was it for Loki, one Redditor has made an interesting observation that has me going, “Hmmmm.”

Loki is right handed. If you look, in movies since the Thor 1 to Avengers 1 to Ragnarok, he wields with his right hand. He holds weapons with his right and the sceptor in Avengers with his right.

There are two occasions he uses his left hand (that I’ve found). One, when he fakes his own death in Dark World. You can find him holding the dagger with his left hand during the entire scene. Two, when he stabs Thanos.

So, Loki’s illusion uses his left hand because he’s a mirrored version? The Loki that was killed in the beginning of IW was an illusion and he’s still out there, maybe disguised or just in hiding.

Of course, this fan theory on Loki could be totally off, but when you think about the MCU over the years, has anything out of the norm ever been done by accident?

Maybe he went off to get the rest of the missing Asgardians like Valkyrie and Sif. Knowing Marvel, anything is certainly possible.

So, if that didn’t blow your mind a little, or at least get you to think, here are some more fan theories while we wait impatiently for Avengers 4 to come out on May 3, 2019.
