On Tuesday, comic book fans got what they’ve been long waiting for: a coherent plan for the cinematic future of DC.

In a video posted to social media, James Gunn — the Guardians of the Galaxy and The Suicide Squad director who was named co-CEO of DC Studios late last year — detailed the franchise’s film and TV plans for the coming years.

Here are all of the projects that Gunn and DC Studios have announced:

FILM: Superman: Legacy, The Brave and the Bold, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, Swamp Thing,The Authority

TV: Booster Gold, Paradise Lost, Green Lantern, Amanda Waller, Creature Commandos

Taking to Twitter mere hours after Gunn’s announcement, Mangold — who is gearing up for the release of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny this summer — shared a panel of a Swamp Thing comic, seemingly indicating his interest in the project. Gunn himself also retweeted Mangold a few hours later.

Here is what DC Studios co-CEO Peter Safran had to say about Swamp Thing in the DCU’s official press release:

The final film we wanted to talk about is Swamp Thing. We bring it up because it’s important to point out that in these stories, although they’re interconnected, they’re not all tonally the same.

Each set of filmmakers bring their own aesthetic to these films, and the fun is seeing how these tonally different works mash up in the future. This is a film that will investigate the dark origins of Swamp Thing.

According to Gunn, the first chapter of the DCU will begin in earnest with the release of Superman: Legacy on July 11, 2025. The Batman Part II, which will be separate from the DCU and will continue the story of Robert Pattinson’s Dark Knight, will then release in October of 2025.
