Janelle Monae’s new album “The Age of Pleasure” dropped on Friday, June 9, and to celebrate the release of the album, Monae shared yet another raunchy photo over on her Instagram account in which she’s rocking nothing but her birthday suit and braids.

In addition to the braids photo, Monae also shared a video of her performing one of the songs off the album in New York City, which you can find below.

Monae has been running quite the promotional campaign for “The Age of Pleasure” as the 37-year-old has been posting tons of risque content — from Instagram posts to entire music videos to live performances — in recent weeks.

The release of Monae’s new album comes after she previously dropped the singles “Float” — which was released in February and was used frequently in NBA adverts on ESPN — and “Lipstick Lover”, which she debuted a few weeks ago.

“The Age of Pleasure” is Monae’s fourth studio album overall and her first since 2018’s “Dirty Computer”. Monae’s other studio albums are 2010’s “The ArchAndroid”, 2013’s “The Electric Lady”, and 2018’s “Dirty Computer”.

In addition to Monae, “The Age of Pleasure” has features from Seun Kuti, Egypt 80, Doechii, Grace Jones, Amaarae, Nia Long, Sister Nancy, and CKay.

Alongside her career as a musician, Monae is also an accomplished actress as she starred in films such as Moonlight, Hidden Figures, Harriet, and Antebellum before having a starring role in Rian Johnson’s Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery back in 2022. Moane has also starred in various television series such as Homecoming and the Netflix animated series Human Resources, a spin-off of Big Mouth.

At this time, Monae is currently set to star as Josephine Baker in the A24 TV series De Las Resistance. Not much new information about the project has been revealed since it was first announced back in May 2022, however.

“The Age of Pleasure” is now streaming on all major music platforms.
