Janelle Monae has been making tons of headlines in recent weeks thanks to some of the outfits she’s been wearing and the content she’s been putting out, and that will certainly contain to be the case this week thanks to the release of the music video for her new song “Lipstick Lover.”

You can check out the official music video for Monae’s new single “Lipstick Lover” on her YouTube page, which has over 770,000 subscribers (we have a feeling that number will grow following the release of this song, though). The release of the video comes two days after Monae teased it with some wet t-shirt videos on social media.

In a similarly raunchy tweet, Monae promised her fans (of which there are likely many new ones) that she’ll be putting out content like this for the next 15 years.

The multi-faceted Monae has certainly racked up a ton of new fans over the last year or so, as she also recently starred in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery alongside a bevy of A-listers such as Daniel Craig, Edward Norton, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Kate Hudson, and Dave Bautista.

Alongside her acting career, Monae is, obviously, a prolific musical artist as she’s released three studio albums over the course of her career. Her first album, The ArchAndroid, dropped in 2010, which was followed by The Electric Lady in 2013 and her most recent album, Dirty Computer, in 2018.

Given the recent release of her hit single “Float” and her new jam “Lipstick Lover”, it’s likely that Monae has a new album dropping this year, although nothing has been officially announced.

If you want to keep up with Janelle Monae, make sure to follow her Instagram account, which currently has over 5.1 million followers and is basically just a bunch of content like the “Lipstick Lover” video.
