Initially, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan was all worked up over the incident, telling reporters “I just can’t believe someone not involved in a football game can taunt our players like that and put their hand in our guy’s face.” He has since changed his tune, probably after reviewing the footage, and on Monday the head coach told reporters “there’s nothing he did that was extraordinarily bad. He just shouldn’t be around that area.”

Now, Jason Kelce is speaking on the incident. During the latest episode of New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce (Presented by Wave Sports + Entertainment), Jason Kelce offers a pretty level-headed take on the situation involved Big Dom DiSandro:

Kelce said he didn’t think it was all that chippy and didn’t fault Dre Greenlaw at all for his actions on the sidelines. He said it was a personal foul, sure, but not an egregious one.

Jason Kelce recalls it as Dre Greenlaw on the sidelines, playing hard, and he doesn’t believe ‘Dom meant anything’ by what happened. Kelce says Dom was “just trying to separate the two in the instance.”

He then goes on to, rightfully claim, that “Dom is not the first person… a coach, a strength coach, a staff member… that has separated people on a sideline that are getting in each other’s faces.”

Kelce says ‘nobody wanted anything to happen’ and adds that he “knows Dom, and (he) trusts that what he was trying to do was diffuse a situation.” He goes on to say “when people are on the sidelines (with) people getting together (and) people are trying to separate them…I don’t think it’s a huge deal either way.”

Jason puts a bow on it by saying he “always loves when Big Dom is getting airtime even though this might not be one of the best reason to.” Adding that Dom “means so much” to the Eagles organization.
