Someone Put A Jason Voorhees Statue On The Bottom Of A Lake To Scare Divers And It’s Terrifying

Jason Voorhees Statue Bottom Lake Minnesota

Paramount Pictures

Some guy in Minnesota, who I totally want to hang out with some time, pulled off the prank of all pranks by anchoring a life-size, life-like Jason Voorhees statue at the bottom of a lake to frighten divers who decide to explore the 120-foot depths of the popular dive site.

Not only is the maniac killer from the nine Friday the 13th films (still waiting for them to get to thirteen!) submerged in the depths of an old iron ore pit in Crosby, Minnesota, he’s even holding a freaking machete!

Back in 2013, Curtis Lahr placed the Jason statue down in the deep, and ever since has become something of a tourist attraction thanks in part to the dive video he posted to YouTube back in 2014 showing “Jason” at the bottom of the lake.

Remember this scene on Crystal Lake in Friday the 13th, Part 6: Jason Lives?

Yeah, well imagine being 120-feet down in the dark water and stumbling across this…

No. Thank you.

Oh, but wait, it actually somehow gets worse.

You see, Lahr went back in October of 2017 to see how Jason was faring down there and dammit, the years submerged in the lake has made him even creepier than before.

I may never go into a lake again.
