Jimmy Carr appeared to recycle talking points on Joe Rogan's podcast
Nobody has ever accused British one-liner comedian Jimmy Carr of being the second coming of George Carlin. But the levels of his hackery may have reached new lows after he appeared to repeat talking points on The Joe Rogan Experience that he’d used during his previous appearance on the show.
Jimmy Carr — who is currently promoting his brand-new live stand-up tour titled Killing Jokes, which features upcoming dates across the UK and USA in 2027, and his new audiobook On Jokes — was a guest on a recent episode of Joe Rogan’s massively popular podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience (episode no. 2571, to be exact).
Comedian Jimmy Carr reused talking points from previous appearances on Joe Rogan’s podcast and still blew his mind with them
During their chat, Carr brought up talking points — or rather, deepities, which are phrases that sound deep and important, but only work because they’re ambiguous — such as AI being a god we created in our image, God as an analogy for the future and delayed gratification, cooperation being humanity’s superpower, laughter predating language, and so on.
On their surface, they’re all pretty interesting topics to be explored in a genuine conversation. Except the conversation wasn’t genuine, as Carr had brought up these exact talking points during his previous appearances on the show — having been featured on episode #2045 in October 2023 and episode #2326 in 2025.
Jimmy Carr was on Joe Rogan again today and I thought they must have reuploaded an old episode because Jimmy Carr kept saying same prepared hackneyed deepities he said last time! They still managed to re-blow Joe Rogan’s mind every time https://t.co/iBAFnnc3rX

And despite having heard all of these talking points already, Rogan was predictably mind-blown by them all the same, thus leading to a massively viral moment that perhaps encapsulates the issue with The Joe Rogan Experience — similar to that “It’s always two dumb b—— telling each other ‘Exactlyyyy'” meme.
