Here we go. It’s happening. After years of fan casting, speculation, and straight-up flirtation between the actor and the studio, reports indicate that A Quiet Place director John Krasinski has met with Marvel Studios.

The studio has been taking virtual meetings with various actors, writers, and directors over the past weeks, and one of those people is none other than John Krasinski.

Krasinski and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige have both said they’d love to work together, and it seems that’s now closer to happening than ever before. While I’m not sure of the role he’d take in the MCU, whether it be that of a director, writer, or actor, I do know they discussed a multitude of projects during their meeting. As far as I’m aware, this is the first time they’ve formally met, but Krasinski is not currently in talks for any MCU project. [via The GeeksWorldwide]

It should come as no surprise that Krasinski has finally met with Marvel Studios, as fans have not only been fan-casting him in the role of Mr. Fantastic for years, but the actor/director recently said that he’d “love” to be a part of the MCU as Reed Richards.

Not only is Krasinski an obvious choice for the role of Mr. Fantastic, but his wife Emily Blunt would be perfect for Susan Storm/Invisible Woman. Furthermore, if Marvel Studios can figure out a way to get Krasinski to direct as well, they’ll have a guaranteed home run on their hands.
