James Madison University showed up and showed out for College GameDay on Saturday morning after having a few drinks with the Jonas Brothers on Friday night! The Dukes can hoot with the owls and fly with the Eagles.

JMU football, which entered the weekend undefeated at 10-0 during its second season on the FBS level, is banned from a bowl game because of a dumb, antiquated NCAA rule. ESPN rolled into Harrisonburg, Virginia anyway and brought the Jo Bros with them.

Kevin, Nick and Joe played three songs during the live broadcast prior to the Dukes’ crucial home game against Appalachian State. They even canceled/postponed a concert due to “logistical issues” to be in the Commonwealth.

They must be getting paid a pretty big number to perform on GameDay. Or it’s just too big of a platform to pass up from a promotional standpoint.

It might also be more fun…

Hitting a rowdy college town on one of the biggest weekends in James Madison history sounds like a blast. Performing in North Dakota during the late months of fall is not quite as enticing.

Regardless of the real reason, the Jonas Brothers had a blast. They took over one of the best bars in the city, Billy Jack’s Shack, on Friday night to pour some drinks, drink some beers, and live it up among the Dukes.

If their presence wasn’t cool enough, the Jo Bros decided to pony up a few pennies and bought a round of drinks for everybody in the bar. They also saved a few for themselves!

By all accounts, the Jonas Brothers seem like pretty chill dudes who love to party and love to be a part of the action.

Kevin, Nick and Joe could have flown into Harrisonburg on Saturday morning, played a few songs, and flown home. They didn’t have to live it up. They wanted to. You love to see it!
