New details from Jonathan Majors’ ongoing domestic violence court case in New York City spell trouble for the Marvel Cinematic Universe star’s career.

The 115-page filing that was obtained by Variety details the extent of Majors’ alleged abuse of his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari.

According to the filing, on the night of March 25, 2023, Majors allegedly “began grabbing the right side of Ms. Jabbari’s body and prying Ms. Jabbari’s right middle finger off the phone, causing bruising, swelling, and substantial pain.”

Furthermore, Jabbari accuses Majors of grabbing and twisting her “arm and right hand and forearm, causing substantial pain to her finger and arm” and hitting her in the “right ear, causing a laceration to the back of her ear and substantial pain.”

After he retrieved his phone, Majors exited the vehicle and Jabbari attempted to follow the actor. That’s when “the defendant grabbed her, picked her up, and threw her back inside … [and] sustained substantial pain, including a fractured finger, bruising about her body, a laceration behind her right ear, and a bump on her head.” [via Variety]

Priya Chaudhry, Majors’ primary attorney, has maintained that her client is innocent and that “there is evidence clearing Majors of any wrongdoing, including surveillance video that shows Jabbari completely unharmed after the defendant’s alleged assault.” Majors himself has yet to publicly comment on the case.

Majors is currently starring in the second season of the Marvel Cinematic Universe series Loki, which is currently streaming on Disney+. Earlier this year, he also featured in the MCU film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania in February and as the main antagonist opposite Michael B. Jordan in Creed III.

Prior to the allegations against him, Majors — on the back of performances in projects such as The Last Black Man in San Francisco, Da 5 Bloods, The Harder They Fall, Lovecraft Country, Devotion, and the three aforementioned projects from earlier this year — was considered to be one of the biggest up-and-coming stars in Hollywood. Now, however, his career is seriously in doubt.
