It appears that, for now, pop superstar Chappell Roan is out of the woods for allegedly siccing a personal security guard on the 11-year-old daughter of Italian soccer star Jorginho.
The midfielder, who won both the UEFA Euros with Italy and the UEFA Champions League with Chelsea FC, currently plays professionally for Corinthians in Brazil.
Meanwhile, Roan was in the area while headlining the second day of Lollapalooza Brasil when the soccer player claimed his wife and 11-year-old daughter saw her eating breakfast at the same hotel they were at
According to Jorginho, his daughter then walked by her table to confirm that it was the musician, without saying anything, before a security guard then accosted her and her mother, calling the mother a bad parent for allowing her child to “harass” a celebrity.
Roan vehemently denied the allegations, saying she had no idea who the security guard was working for, but that he wasn’t with her. The guard, Pascal Duvier, then backed up Roan, claiming that he acted of his own volition and was not there with Roan.
Now the soccer star has issued an apology.
Jorginho Apologizes To Chappell Roan For Security Guard Mishap
After learning more about the incident, Jorginho took to Instagram to explain what happened, and to walk back his claim that Roan was involved with the incident.
“I would like to give an update on what happened during Lolla weekend, as we have been seeing and hearing a lot over the past few weeks and felt it was important to clarify everything now that new information has come to light,” he wrote.
He then went on to explain his version of the events, as well as the interactions his family has had with Chappell Roan since the incident occurred.
“I made my initial statement in the heat of the moment, after hearing that my child and wife had been approached by an adult male security guard in an intimidating way. I reacted as any father would. My priority is, and always will be, protecting my family, and that is exactly what I did.

Chappell Roan Reached To Apologize To Jorginho’s Wife And Daughter
“I also want to make clear that the situation did occur as it was originally described. At the time, we acted on the information that was available to us.
“Since then, I have become aware of new information that has changed my understanding of parts of what happened. Chappell Roan made a public statement, reached out privately to Catherine, and our teams also spoke directly. It became clear that she had no knowledge of what took place at breakfast and had not asked anyone to approach them. She was understanding and sympathetic to what had happened to our child.
“The security guard himself has since confirmed publicly that he was representing another artist at the hotel at the time. While we still do not know what prompted him to approach them, and do not believe an 11-year-old at breakfast could reasonably be seen as any kind of security threat, it is now clear that he was not acting on behalf of Chappell.”
So, at least for the time being, it appears Chappell Roan is uncancelled.
