Title Of Third ‘Jurassic World’ Film Revealed In Behind-The-Scenes Photo

Universal

It’s funny how the world works. Just last week, apropos of nothing, I was ranting into the ether about how astounded I was that the Jurassic World movies make up two of the top 15 highest-grossing films in the history of cinema.

Sure, the original one is solid, but Fallen Kingdom is well and truly awful, and yet still, it ranks absurdly high on the list of highest-grossing films. How? Why? Is nothing sacred anymore?

Naturally, because the first two were so successful, a third film was always going to happen, and now we know the title of said third film: Jurassic World: Dominion.

The title was revealed in a behind-the-scenes photo tweeted out by director Colin Trevorrow, who directed the original Jurassic World but stepped away from the director’s chair for Fallen Kingdom. Given the obvious drop in quality between the two films, it comes as no surprise that Universal recruited Trevorrow’s services for the (hopefully) final chapter.

Appearing on The Ellen Show last week, Pratt teased Jurassic World 3 by comparing it to the last movie he starred in: Avengers: Endgame.

“This feels like it. I’m not allowed to say anything… It’s got everybody. It’s got pretty much everybody in it. Maybe I just blew it, but I don’t care. But I know that all the cast from the original Jurassic Park is coming back. And so it’s going to feel very much how Endgame brought everything together,” Pratt said.

At this time, Jurassic World: Dominion is set to be released in theaters in the United States on Friday, June 11, 2021.
