Kanye West Is Trying To Set Up A Meeting Between Colin Kaepernick And President Trump At The White House

Kanye revealed that he is trying to set up a meeting between Colin Kaepernick and President Donald Trump at the White House. Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela, Mohandas Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr., and Kanye West? Could Kanye West be added to the list of the most influential peacemakers of all-time?

Kanye said he is attempting to stage a Washington D.C. summit between Donald Trump and Colin Kaepernick. Ye revealed that he tried to reach out to Kaepernick on Monday morning. While wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat, West gave an interview to Harvey Levin on TMZ Live and said he has “been calling Colin this morning.”

Kanye says he wants to attempt to get Kaep and Trump “on the same page” on the extremely divisive NFL national anthem protests. Last week, Kanye subliminally teased the potential meeting of the two polarizing personalities when he wore a MAGA hat supporting President Trump and a Colin Kaepernick sweatshirt.

Kaepernick kneeled during the “The Star-Spangled Banner” before NFL games to protest social injustice, police brutality, and racial inequality. As a member of the San Francisco 49ers, Kaepernick did not stand during the national anthem during a preseason game against the Green Bay Packers on August 26, 2016. Kaepernick opted out of his contract with the 49ers in March after starting in 11 games and throwing 16 touchdowns and four interceptions the previous season. Kaepernick has been a free agent ever since.

Last year at a rally in Alabama, Trump criticized all of the protesting NFL players by saying, “Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, ‘Get that son of a bitch off the field right now. out! He’s fired.’” The POTUS added, “They’re ruining the game.”

“That’s a total disrespect of our heritage,” Trump said.” That’s a total disrespect of everything that we stand for.”

Kanye wants to bring the two controversial figures together so Trump can “remove that ‘sons of bitches’ statement and we can be on the same page.” “We never give up on anyone,” West said in the interview. “We move forward. We give love. We keep going. We keep having the conversation, until the conversation turns to love, we keep going.”

Nike and Kaepernick rolled out the ad campaign that told everyone to “believe in something, even if it means sacrificing everything.” The controversial commercial celebrates the 30th anniversary of its “Just Do It” marketing campaign.

President Trump said Nike’s ad campaign that features Colin Kaepernick sends a “terrible message.”

“But I think it’s a terrible message that they’re sending and the purpose of them doing it, maybe there’s a reason for them doing it,” Trump told the Daily Caller. “But I think as far as sending a message, I think it’s a terrible message and a message that shouldn’t be sent. There’s no reason for it.”

West is also in the news for delivering a pro-Trump dialogue after his Saturday Night Live appearance this past weekend. As the credits rolled, West addressed the crowd.

“I wanna cry right now. Black man in America, you’re supposed to keep what you feel inside right now,” West rapped. “And the liberals bully you and tell you what you can and cannot wear, where you and they can’t not stare. And they look at me and say, ‘It’s not fair. How the hell did you get here?'”

“Actually, blacks weren’t always Democrats,” West continued. “It’s like a plan they did to take the fathers out the homes and promote welfare. Does anybody know about that? That’s the Democratic plan.”

“They bullied me backstage. They bullied me and then they say I’m in the sunken place,” West explained. “You want to see the sunken place? OK. I’m gonna listen to y’all now. I’m gonna put my Superman cape on because this means you can’t tell me what to do.”

“So many times I talk to a white person about this and [they] say, ‘How could you like Trump he’s racist?’ Well, if I was concerned about racism I would’ve moved out of America a long time ago,” West said.

Kanye retweeted the President’s slam of SNL calling the show “unfunny” and a “political ad for the Dems.” “Like many, I don’t watch Saturday Night Live (even though I past hosted it) – no longer funny, no talent or charm,” Trump tweeted on Sunday. “It is just a political ad for the Dems. Word is that Kanye West, who put on a MAGA hat after the show (despite being told “no”), was great. He’s leading the charge!”

Ye also tweeted out that we should abolish the Thirteenth Amendment, which was the amendment that abolished slavery in the United States. It should be noted that Kanye is definitely in full-fledged promotion mode for his newest album “Yandhi” and he definitely subscribes to the “there’s no such thing as bad publicity” mindset.

West walked back his “abolish the 13th Amendment” tweet. “‘Abolish’ was the wrong language. I misspoke by saying ‘abolish,’” he clarified. “‘Amend’ is the right language. … And what’s beautiful about our Constitution is that we can amend it.”

Kanye also danced as a Perrier bottle on SNL.

And if all this wasn’t exhausting enough, Kanye West changed his name to “Ye.”

Only Kanye West could change his name and it would be the 14th most noteworthy thing that he did over the weekend.
