Lana Del Rey — who is basically like Taylor Swift for drug users — was spotted working at a Waffle House location in Alabama and nobody seems to know why.

In viral photos and videos that were circulated on social media this week, the 38-year-old singer and songwriter can be seen working behind the counter and brewing coffee while wearing a Waffle House uniform in Florence, Alabama.

In addition to the Waffle House, Del Rey has been spotted in numerous other locations around Florence, including a nail salon.

Muscle Shoals resident Karina Cisneros Juarez saw Del Rey at the Waffle House and detailed her experience on Facebook.

“To say I am ecstatic is an understatement!” Juarez shared on her Facebook page. “I have been a huge fan of Lana Del Rey for over a decade, so meeting her today was truly insane.”

Juarez then provided further comments to AL.com about the moment and made sure to mention how nice Del Rey was.

“She was there, wearing a uniform and everything,” Juarez said. “It was a bit surreal. I just told her how much I loved her music and her work in general. She was super lovely, and incredibly nice.”

One theory among fans is that Del Rey is slyly promoting her new album “Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd”, which has a song that references the Alabama town that she was spotted in.

On the track “Paris, Texas,” Del Rey makes a reference to Florence, Alabama, singing: “I took a train to Spain, just a notebook in my hand/Then I went to see some friends of mine, down in Florence, Alabama.”

Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, which was released back in March, is currently available to purchase and to stream on all of the major music streaming services, such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Pandora, and more. Despite the release of her new album, though, Del Rey is not currently touring and does not have one scheduled.
