Absolute Legend Arrested For Skinny Dipping In Giant Bass Pro Shop Aquarium

Look, we’ve all thought about it.

“How cool would it be to hit a cannon ball into that,” you ask as you walk in Bass Pro Shop and look at the giant aquarium.

Well, one Alabama man found out recently, and did so in the most epic (if inadvisable) way.

George Owens, 42, of Leeds, Alabama was arrested on Thursday after crashing his car outside a Bass Pro Shop, stripping naked and diving into the giant aquarium inside the store.

And, in case you’re dubious about those claims, there is unfortunately video evidence.

Somebody didn’t take Alabama’s loss to Michigan in the Rose Bowl all that well.

Owens was taken for a mental health evaluation and booked into the St. Clair County Jail.

Police say that Owens was only in the store for about five minutes before being taken into custody.

He was charged with public lewdness, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, assault on a police officer, two counts of first-degree criminal mischief and two counts of reckless endangerment, according to jail records.

Probably not worth it!

But if he’d kept his clothes on about half those charges go out the window.

As it turns out, a Florida man (because of course) was caught in 2020 for something similar.

Though in that incident, the local Sheriff’s Department (Lee County) said they had no recent record of an incident involving the fish tank swim. And that man walked out without incident from either employees or police.

So it is doable! (This is not an endorsement)

Just don’t be upset when the fish try to take a bite.
