Leonardo DiCaprio is being compared to Kendall Roy from Succession as the 49-year-old put on a rap performance at his recent birthday.

While Leo didn’t go full Kendall Roy and write his own lyrics, he did rap along to the 1994 song “DWYCK” by Gang Starr and Nice & Smooth.

DiCaprio’s birthday bars were immediately compared to the infamous moment from season two of Succession that saw Kendall Roy, played by Jeremy Strong, performing an original rap at his father’s birthday party.

DiCaprio was most recently seen starring as Ernest Burkhart in Martin Scorsese’s latest film Killers of the Flower Moon, putting forth a performance that many believe will earn him yet another Best Actor nomination.

Leo isn’t the only performance from Killers of the Flower Moon that’s expected to be nominated, as lead actress Lily Gladstone is widely considered to be a lock in the Best Actress category, while many movie fans are also hoping to see Robert De Niro join the Best Supporting Actor race alongside the likes of Robert Downey Jr. (Oppenheimer) and Ryan Gosling (Barbie).

If DiCaprio is given an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor for Killers of the Flower Moon, it’ll be the sixth time he’s been nominated for Best Actor and seventh acting nomination overall, as he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in 1994 for his performance in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape.

In addition to DiCaprio, Killers of the Flower Moon — which is also expected to contend in Oscar categories such as Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, and more — also stars Robert De Niro, Lily Gladstone, Jesse Plemons, Brendan Fraser, John Lithgow, and more.

As for who DiCaprio is dating these days (as he barrels towards his 50th birthday), the latest reports indicated that he’s currently seeing 25-year-old Italian model Vittoria Ceretti.
