Following the wildly disappointing finale of Secret Invasion — which is literally the worst-reviewed entry in the entire 15-year history of the franchise — Marvel Studios has dropped the first trailer for season two of Loki, which originally premiered back in 2021.

Arguably the most successful Marvel Cinematic Universe series to release on Disney+, season two of Loki will hit the streaming service on Friday, October 6.

Check out the first official trailer for season two of Loki below.

While Marvel has released the trailer for the upcoming batch of episodes, the official synopsis has not been announced, which makes sense given that the famously mysterious show doesn’t release for another 10ish weeks.

Season two of Loki is one of the final few MCU projects of the year. In the closing months of 2023, Marvel Studios will also be releasing The Marvels in theaters in November. There’s also the Disney+ series Echo, which is currently scheduled to release on November 29.

In total, 2023 will see the release of three films — Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and The Marvels — and three TV series: Secret Invasion, Loki, and Echo.

Next year, Marvel Studios will release another three films as part of its “Phase 5”: Deadpool 3, which began production earlier this summer but had to be halted due to the actors’ strike, Captain America: Brave New World, and Thunderbolts. The status of the latter two projects is up in the air, however, due to the ongoing strikes in Hollywood that prevent both writers and actors from working.

Alongside Tom Hiddleston and Own Wilson starring as Loki and Mobius M. Mobius, season two of Loki also stars Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, Tara Strong, Neil Ellice, Jonathan Majors, Rafael Casal, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, and Ke Huy Quan.

All six episodes of Loki‘s first season are currently streaming on Disney+.
