Widely considered to be the best Marvel Cinematic Universe series that Disney+ has made, Loki returned for its second season with a premiere that’s been largely revered by fans.
The telltale sign of an MCU project being well-received is when fans on social media begin to endlessly theorize about it, which is exactly what Loki watchers have been doing, particularly when it comes to this moment that appears to reference the X-Men.

While the concept of “mutants” has been introduced via the likes of Kamala Kham (Ms. Marvel), the MCU has yet to properly introduce the idea of the X-Men (Professor X is simply introduced as “Professor Charles Xavier” in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
That’s set to change next spring, however, with the release of Deadpool 3, which is set to include Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. And not only will Jackman be starring as Wolverine — for the first time since 2017’s Logan –but he’ll also be wearing the character’s iconic yellow costume for the first time ever in live-action.

According to a recent report, Disney will prioritize resuming production on Deadpool 3 when the studios decide to agree to fair compensation for actors and bring the strike to an end.
Deadpool 3, directed by Free Guy and Stranger Things director Shawn Levy, had just begun filming when the actors’ strike began in July, thus forcing production to shut down.
While it’s currently scheduled to hit theaters on Friday, May 3, it’s becoming increasingly unlikely that it’ll be ready in time for that release date. Not only does the movie have to finish filming, but as is the case with most Marvel films, there will also surely be extensive post-production.
In addition to Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Deadpool 3 also stars Ryan Reynolds as the Merc with a Mouth, Owen Wilson, Emma Corrin, Matthew Macfadyen, Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, Jennifer Garner, and more.
