Run the Jewels was performing their set at Lollapalooza on Friday in Chicago’s Grant Park. One fan in the sea of people stood out because he was holding a sign that said, “Let Me Rap Legend Has It.” And Run the Jewels did just that. They invited Jacob Powell on stage in front of thousands to perform “Legend Has It.” Jacob did not let Killer Mike down. In fact, as you see from the photo above, Killer Mike also did not let the fan down and carried him around.
El-P and Killer Mike asked Jacob to rap the track without a beat and do it a cappella. Not a problem for Jacob. He was given eight bars to prove himself and Mr. Powell absolutely killed it. Jacob said this was the “best day ever.” Hard to argue.
