It appears that Spirit Airlines could be shutting down very soon, which would cause chaos at airports.
On Friday night, it was reported that Spirit Airlines could cease operations this weekend due to failing to secure government funding to keep its business running.

Spirit Airlines could shut down as early as 3 a.m. ET Saturday, according to people familiar with the matter. The carrier has failed to secure a financial lifeline to continue operating, though it hasn’t commented on the potential shutdown or its plans.
About 290 Spirit flights are scheduled for Saturday, according to aviation site Flightradar24. Another 381 are scheduled for Sunday.
Spirit Airlines has reportedly been cancelling Friday-night flights, leaving travellers stranded at the airport.

As of Friday night, Spirit has yet to release an official statement on whether or not they plan to shut down.
