Lucasfilm Releases 22 High-Res Photos From ‘The Last Jedi’ To Get Your ‘Star Wars’ Fix
We are only 86 days away from “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” taking you to a galaxy far, far away. That means that the hype machine for Episode VIII is gearing up for the epic release and today Lucasfilm released 22 high-resolution photos from the upcoming “Star Wars” movie. The batch of images features some pics that have been around for awhile as well as new ones. You get a sneak peek of Luke Skywalker, Kylo Ren, Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa, Domhnall Gleeson as General Armitage Hux, Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma, as well as several behind-the-scenes glimpses and exciting set locations.
The official synopsis is as follows: “In Lucasfilm’s ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi,’ the Skywalker saga continues as the heroes of ‘The Force Awakens’ join the galactic legends in an epic adventure that unlocks age-old mysteries of the Force and shocking revelations of the past.”
In other Episode 8 news, we may get a new “The Last Jedi” trailer on October 9th during Monday Night Football if this now-deleted Mark Hamill tweet means anything.
The cast also includes Daisy Ridley as Rey, John Boyega as Finn, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, Benicio Del Toro as “DJ”, Kelly Marie Tran as Rose Tico, Laura Dern as Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo, Andy Serkis as Supreme Leader Snoke, Lupita Nyong’o as Maz Kanata, Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, and Jimmy Vee as R2-D2. Rian Johnson wrote and directed the Disney film. “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” blasts into theaters on December 15th.
P.S. Disney had better not make it all about those cutesy Porgs just to sell merch to kids and especially don’t let one of those alien groundhogs pilot the Millenium Falcon.
