You know what they say: what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. And, as this TikToker highlighted, you can literally stay in Vegas in style in the Luxor Hotel penthouse suite.
While things were going well for hotels on the strip last year, it has recently been reported that Vegas is dying. But a recent TikTok tour of a luxurious Luxor suite suggests that we shouldn’t count the city out just yet.
In the tour, which has garnered 77,100 views, Brandi Haefele (@brandiiontherocks) allowed viewers to peek inside room 28001.
“It is not really an advertised room,” she said. “You have to know about it.”
Her tour started in the foyer, which had opulent wooden chairs and pictures on the walls. It had a cream, marbled, and minimalist appearance and color scheme. Beyond the foyer was a matching, spotless guest bathroom. She then directed viewers to the large square entryway that leads into the next room.
The room in question was the living area, which had more deluxe wooden furniture, a pool table, and plenty of space. It also included amenities like a couch, TV, and a bar. Then, it was time for the grand finale: the master suite. This consisted of a whole wall dedicated to closet space, another TV, a king-sized bed, a couch, and a jacuzzi tub. Next to it was a double-sinked, deluxe, full-shower bathroom with an additional toilet and bidet.
Not Everyone Found It Impressive
Some loved it. “Okay clearly I slept on the Luxor,” one wrote.
“I like it!” a second added. “Looks fun!”
And a third said, “This is actually really nice.”
Others weren’t so sure about the suite, with several implying that it’s haunted.
“My stomach dropped just watching this video,” a fourth said. “There’s some weird vibes in that place.”
While a fifth claimed, “There is a ghostly presence in there.”
How To Book A Luxor Penthouse Suite
As implied by the TikToker, getting a penthouse room in the Luxor isn’t easy. While one can book rooms on the MGM website, the penthouse suites appear to be in very high demand up until April, when a lot more seem to be available. For two guests at the Las Vegas branch, prices range from $495 to over $1,000.
Two years ago, a Redditor encountered a similar problem. They stated that while there was availability on the MGM website, there wasn’t any on the Marriott website. To get around this, Reddit users gave various suggestions.
“Unfortunately not all the rooms are bookable through the Marriott website, including their own hotels,” one wrote. “I suppose the MGM Hotels reserve the higher rooms for their own program. But it may be worth to give Marriott reservations a call to see they can book it for you. If not, you would have to book directly with MGM.”
“The other option, book a lower tiered room through Marriott and then call the hotel directly asking to upgrade,” a second added. “They should be able to quote you a rate (if it’s available) and move you and you’d still get your Marriott points.”
While a third shared, “Last year Luxor sent me an invite to upgrade to a penthouse via email.”
A fourth chimed in, writing, “I’m not sure if the call center would be able to help but you can call MGM because the terms do say certain rates booked via MGM call center are eligible.”
