Music legend Madonna was rushed to a New York City hospital after being found unresponsive, leading to a several day stay in the ICU, according to Page Six.

The 64-year-old pop icon was reportedly found unresponsive Saturday night and rushed to a New York City hospital.

Madonna was reportedly intubated overnight after being taken to the ICU in the unidentified hospital.

On Wednesday, Madonna’s manager Guy Oseary wrote on Instagram, “On Saturday June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which led to a several-day stay in the ICU.

“Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected.

“At this time, we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour.

“We will share more details with you as soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows.”

Madonna had been scheduled to begin her very ambitious “Celebration” tour in Vancouver on July 15th. The tour was to be a celebration of her 40th anniversary in the music business. It was to consist of 84 dates, including 53 shows in North America, and run through January 30, 2024.

Fans had a wide variety of reactions to this grim news, some less kind than others.

“Hope she feels better very soon!” actress and singer Zooey Deschanel wrote on Instagram.

“Sounds like there’s more to the story!” another fan commented on a New York Post story.

“Not to be judgemental, but why do the stars get the Mysterious infections and never go to the Dr that they probably have on speed dial?” someone else wrote.

“Was the bacterial infection caused by all the plastic surgery she’s had? Honestly asking,” read another tweet.

“That’s so weird because she’s been posting stuff that would indicate she’s healthy AF,” another person tweeted sarcastically.
