Warner Bros. and Margot Robbie have been hard at work promoting the release of Barbie, with their latest PR stunt being to dress up the Oscar-nominated actress as the original Barbie doll.
Robbie’s starring role in Barbie is her third over the course of the last year, as she also starred in a pair of 2022 bombs: Amsterdam and Babylon. Barbie, however, looks like it will certainly be a return to form for Robbie, at least as far as the box office is concerned.

Alongside her roles in Amsterdam, Babylon, and Barbie, Robbie also made a brief, yet extremely memorable, appearance in Wes Anderson’s new film Asteroid City.
In addition to the leading duo of Robbie as Barbie and RyanGosling as Ken, the film stars Issa Rae, Kate McKinnon, Dua Lipa, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Emma Mackey, Michael Cera, Simu Liu, Helen Mirren, Will Ferrell, and more. Barbie hits movie theaters in the United States on Friday, July 21.
As for Robbie’s future, she’s been rumored to be attached to a reboot of the Ocean’s 11 franchise that will reportedly be a Europe-and-1960s-set “prequel”. There also hasn’t been any indication of whether or not she’ll continue as Harley Quin now that DC is being rebooted by James Gunn.
Robbie’s production company LuckyChap Entertainment has also been growing in recent years, having produced films such as I, Tonya, Birds of Prey, Promising Young Woman, Boston Strangler, and Barbie, and upcoming projects such as My Year of Rest and Relaxation, Saltburn, Tank Girl, Borderline, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Alba.
