This past February, Marvel announced that it would be creating four new animated TV series for Hulu, much like they did with Netflix and The Defenders Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage.
One of those four new series is Marvel’s Tigra & Dazzler Show about, you guessed it, superheroes Tigra and Dazzler. The other three shows, which are planned on coming together for a one-off special called Marvel’s The Offenders are shows based upon the characters M.O.D.O.K., Hit-Monkey, and Howard the Duck.
“A giant head. A monkey. A tiger lady and a disco queen. And the duck. Brought together because no one else could but Marvel Television on Hulu. M.O.D.O.K., Hit Monkey, Tigra & Dazzler and Howard the Duck will form a team no one asked for — The Offenders (and wait until you see who the Team Leader is!)!” said Jeph Loeb, Head of Marvel Television at the time. “We have such tremendous talent bringing amazing adult animation that’s fun, fresh and fantastic. We’re so excited for what’s to come!”
Unfortunately for Tigra and Dazzler, their show has been put on hold as the entire writing staff was just fired by Marvel and all the work they did will be binned with a new writing team starting over from scratch.

According to The Hollywood Reporter…
Tigra & Dazzler Show showrunner Erica Rivinoja (Girls Trip, The Addams Family) and the comedy’s entire writing staff have been let go from the series following creative differences with Marvel. Sources say Rivinoja and her team had completed multiple scripts and outlines for others and were 15 weeks into a planned 20-week production cycle.
Production on the show has been paused as sources note Marvel plans to hire a new showrunner and have them build their own writing team as part of a larger creative overhaul. All of the work Rivinoja and her staff had completed is being thrown out.
Tigra & Dazzler Show, executive produced by Chelsea Handler, who will also voice one of the main characters, was scheduled to be third in line for release out of the four new shows.
The synopsis that was released back in February for the Tigra & Dazzler Show says the upcoming series will be about two woke superheroes and best friends, Tigra and Dazzler, who fight for recognition among powered people who make up the eight million stories in Los Angeles.
