‘Paid For Nothing Except My Large Coke’: McDonald’s Customer Goes In Store. Then They Use The ‘Kiosk Monopoly Method’ To Get Free Food

Fast food isn’t cheap anymore. That’s why people are trying all sorts of methods to get their favorite meals for less money.

While even the CEO has admitted that the McDonald’s menu items are getting too pricey, efforts to bring costs down have only gone so far. Consequently, many find themselves looking at their fast food bills and wondering whether there’s a way they can get a deal on their favorite treats.

Sometimes, this involves simply gaming the app to your benefit. Other times, this involves biting the bullet and learning to make the dishes at home.

However, one user says they have their own method for acquiring free food—the “Kiosk Monopoly method.”

What Is The McDonald’s Kiosk Monopoly Method?

In a post with over 654,000 views, TikTok user Tommy Mucciante (@tommy.moose) shows a table full of McDonald’s food.

“Never patch the kiosk monopoly method,” he writes in the text overlaying the video.

Immediately, commenters began to say they were able to score similar deals by utilizing this method.

“7 snack wraps 9 double cheese burgers, 3 mcflurries, 6 small fries, 3 apple pies, 2 small frappes, and 4, 4 piece nuggets is what fed my house last night, only took 50 minutes to get everything,” wrote a user.

“It worked for us tonight. Dinner and dessert for 3 of us,” added another, attaching a photo of a full dinner. “Paid for nothing except my large Coke.”

How Does The McDonald’s Kiosk Monopoly Method Work?

According to Mucciante, the key to getting free food involves two different factors.

The first is utilizing an alternative method of entry for the McDonald’s Monopoly competition. In short, while it may seem like you have to buy something to receive a McDonald’s Monopoly piece and prize, McDonald’s actually allows for Alternative Methods of Entry, or “AMOE.”

As noted in a follow-up video, one can simply log onto the McDonald’s AMOE site, fill out all of their information, and then verify the aforementioned information. Once they’ve done so, they will receive two free Monopoly codes. This can be done up to five times per day.

Frequently, these free codes will contain coupons for deals or free items, which explains why Mucciante was able to obtain so much free food.

Where Does The McDonald’s Kiosk Method Come In?

As far as the kiosk is concerned, the “method” involves using a kiosk rather than ordering through a drive-thru or in person.

The reason for this is that McDonald’s generally has a 15-minute window for deals. This means that, if you use a deal, you have to wait 15 minutes before using another one.

However, according to Mucciante, if one clicks on the “Earn Points” portion of their app and then scans the QR code with the kiosk’s reader, this circumvents the 15-minute waiting period.

Consequently, one should be able to place multiple different orders utilizing different deals, so long as they are separate orders.

Commenters Find Success

In the comments section of the subsequent videos, users claimed they were able to utilize this method to score free food.

“Before I figured this out I used to drive thru, order, park, wait and get back into line after 15 minutes,” recalled a user.

“I did this and every sec they kept calling my name after the 4th one they ask what is going on and if it was monopoly winnings,” shared another.

That said, some claimed this trick wasn’t universal.

“It depends on tha McDonald’s gang,” wrote a commenter.
