The 2023 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue might have the most random collection of models of any issue in its 59-year history.

Aside the from the usual models who are actually models like Jared Goff’s fiancee Christen Harper, we’ve got LSU athletes Olivia Dunne and Angel Reese, who make some sense due to them both being so talked about over the past year.

Another model this year is Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi – definitely a choice no one saw coming.

And for the second time in the issue’s history, a model, Nicole Williams English, posed for the SI Swimsuit Issue while pregnant.

They, however, are not the cover models this year, of which there are four, and only one of them that was chosen, Brooks Nader, is actually a model.

The four 2023 SI Swimsuit Issue cover models were revealed on Monday. They are 30-year-old transgender German singer Kim Petras, 36-year-old actress Megan Fox and 81-year-old Martha Stewart.

“A year or two ago, Martha posed for a thirst trap selfie in her pool, and it made international news,” writer, producer and director Ryan Murphy wrote. “She looked radiant and, more than that, sexy. She was rewriting the rules yet again about what a woman can be, and how, and at what age. And here she is again, topping that moment with this cover and being news- worthy and boundary-pushing yet again. Martha Stewart is kind, she is hilarious, and she’s taught me a lot. More than anything, she is a lesson in ageless living.”

All in all 28 different models will be featured in this year’s issue.

“Shooting Sports Illustrated Swimsuit is definitely a lot of pressure. I have a vision in my head that I’m trying to achieve, so we’ll see if it pans out for me,” Megan Fox said.

“What I most want people to know is that I’m a genuine soul who is hoping to actually belong to something and not always have to live as a misunderstood outcast.”
