Woman Runs Into Miami Restaurant Worker At Target. Then He Exposes A Huge Secret: ‘Everything’s Gonna Be Free’

When it comes to premium pizza, Miami Slice is a widely popular choice. And with a new branch opening in Coconut Grove, one TikToker got intel straight from the horse’s mouth.

There’s no question about it: pizza is great. On average, Americans eat 6,000 slices of pizza in their lifetime. While widespread pizza brands have often dominated, nothing quite beats New York-style pizza. That’s where Miami Slice comes in.

It already has a presence in Florida. Still, one content creator has claimed that its new location’s opening is just around the corner.

“Guys, I was fully just doing some boots on the ground journalism,” TikToker Gaby Cuadra (@lifeofgaby) said.

“I was at Target and I spotted a Miami Slice employee, and I asked him like, ‘Are you working for the new Coconut Grove location?’ He’s like, ‘Yes,’ and he gave me the hidden news, guys, that supposedly Miami Slice is gonna open on Wednesday [August 5] from 5 to 11, and everything’s gonna be free. You heard it here first, guys, the chisme finds me; I don’t find the chisme.”

BroBible reached out to Cuadra and Miami Slice via email.

Viewers Couldn’t Wait To Try The New Location

Commenters were excited.

“I was actually going to DM you bc I couldn’t find the opening date online and I thought, ‘I know who would know,'” one wrote.

“The type of journalism we need,” a second added, followed by a clapping emoji.

A third joked, “Delete this so that only the real ones show up.”

While a fourth said, “What would we do without you?”

What Is Miami Slice?

Miami Slice is a pizzeria chain known for its innovative open kitchen, “slice bar” setup. It also operates on no reservations, selling its pizza on a first-come, first-served basis.

In his One Slice Pizza review, Dave Portnoy described Miami Slice as an “instant contender for best pizza in Miami.” He gave it a score of 8.6.

At present, the chain has three locations: Downtown Miami, Key Biscayne, and Fontainebleau Hotel in Las Vegas. Coconut Grove will be its fourth location.

Her Experience In The Restaurant Scene

In a statement, a spokesperson for Cuadra said: “Gaby has built a niche on TikTok covering Miami’s restaurant scene, often sharing news on upcoming openings before they officially launch. She’s known for stopping by construction sites, checking in on new concepts, and talking with owners, contractors, and employees to find out what’s coming next. She’s shared early updates on openings like Cotoletta, Bodega Ortega, Right Hand Miami in Downtown, and several other new restaurants across the city.”

“As a Coconut Grove neighbor, Gaby had been especially excited about the new Miami Slice location. Like many people in the neighborhood, she had been wondering when it would finally open. She had stopped by the construction site multiple times over the past few months hoping to get an opening date but never received a clear answer,” they added.

“While shopping at Target, she noticed someone wearing a Miami Slice uniform and asked if he was going to be working at the Coconut Grove location. He said yes, and during the conversation shared that the location was expected to open Wednesday from 5–11 p.m. and that everything would be free. Since her audience is always looking to her for updates on new Miami openings, she shared exactly what she had been told.”

They concluded, “Gaby plans to be at the opening on Wednesday to cover it firsthand. As of now, she hasn’t received any official confirmation from Miami Slice beyond that conversation and is looking forward to seeing how everything unfolds.”
